Lead Pipe Assessment
Regulations set by the government cap the amount of lead allowed in your drinking water at 10 micrograms per litre. If you are concerned that there may still be lead piping carrying water into your home, there are a few points to look out for. One thing to consider is that generally, after 1970, lead was not used. If however, your property was built before then, then there is a chance that lead could have been used.
You can check your piping yourself if you are confident but we would always recommend having a professional come out and assess your property, although there is a lot of information out there, it is always better to have an expert that is trained to assess your piping for any lead. On top of this, by hiring a professional, they will also be able to replace your lead piping.
